Good morning all,
Wormmaster was able to send me a ZIP file with many of the old SPG sprite packs.
What I would like to do is have a Sprites page for the website.
While I will make the original The Games Factory/Multimedia Fusion files available for download, I would also like to have the sprites hosted as direct image files.
Shade, you're the professional artist. Would PNG be the best file format to maintain fidelity? Maybe Bitmap? I've noticed sometimes compression causes grain/artifacts which I would like to avoid at all costs.
I'll still need to work out how to organize a Sprites page and am happy to hear your dudes thoughts and suggestions. Anyone who is bored is welcome to create and submit new sprites be they characters, objects, or weapons.

Zipped BMPs probably the best way to go. The compress well and the user can immediately import them into TGF without having to re-save the PNGs.

Yeah, I can totally re-create some outdated sprites if needs be. That talent never left me, haha.

Design ideas so far: Just like the rest of the website, I'm imagining the Sprites page will stick to the same blue-sky background you see before you: (#99ccff or 153, 204, 255) In Photoshop, I'll put together little link buttons using the South Park font with shadowing with a little sprite beside them (Like the rest of the site) So you would see a little button for: - Characters - Objects - Weapons - Sprite Packs This organization method should work as there aren't too many options yet. You'd click on a page and you'll be taken to another simple HTML page (Same blue background) with a bunch of sprites in image format. They can be separated by author. Not as flashy as Imgur but it should work. Work in Progress: Sprites page
